This is why Dex likes this article
Versatile acrylic paint that adheres to virtually any surface, from paper to glass and metal. Thanks to its water base and high-gloss finish, you create durable, professional results for all your creative projects.
When do you choose this product?
What does acrylic varnish do and when do you need it?
Acrylic varnish gives various materials a protective and decorative high-gloss finish. This Marabu Decorlak is ideal for hobby and craft projects where you need a durable, weather-resistant coating that also has a beautiful shine.
Why choose this water-based variant?
This water-based acrylic varnish offers very good coverage without the drawbacks of solvents. You get a high-gloss result that is both waterproof and lightfast, so your work stays beautiful for longer. Moreover, the varnish is saliva-resistant, which is important for decorations that may come into contact with children.
Versatility across materials
What makes this Marabu varnish special is that you can use it on paper, cardboard, wood, self-hardening modelling clay, polystyrene foam, metal, clay, stone, glass, foam and various plastics. This broad compatibility makes it a handy base varnish for virtually any craft project. The varnish is also mixable, so you can create your own colours.
Practical tip for use
The 50 ml pack is perfect for smaller projects and for testing whether the colour medium yellow suits your design. Make sure the surface is clean and dry before you begin. Because the varnish is water-based, you can easily clean your brushes with water, but do this straight after use, before the varnish cures.

Dex knows - user tips
Contains a preservative that may cause an allergic reaction in some people. If in doubt, test the paint first on a small, inconspicuous area of the surface before tackling the whole project.
