This fine plastic sieve effortlessly sifts lumps out of flour and icing sugar. The sturdy handle sits comfortably in the hand, perfect for everyday baking and cooking.
When do you choose this product?
What does this sieve do and when do you need it?
A fine sieve is indispensable for sifting fine ingredients such as flour, icing sugar, cocoa or spices. This plastic sieve from Metaltex helps you remove lumps and ensures an even texture in your preparations. You also use it for rinsing small ingredients such as quinoa or draining liquids.
Why choose this size?
With a sieve opening of 100 mm, this sieve is ideal for smaller portions and everyday cooking. The compact size fits easily in your kitchen cupboard and is handy for sifting ingredients for one to two people. Its dimensions give you enough room to work comfortably without the sieve being too large for your worktop.
Advantages of the plastic material
The PP handle combined with the PS mesh makes this sieve lighter than metal alternatives. Plastic is less aggressive than metal when sieving, so delicate ingredients such as fresh herbs better retain their structure. The fine polyester mesh ensures even sieving and is resistant to daily use.
Practical storage tip for optimal use
Store this sieve in a dry kitchen cupboard and check the mesh regularly for damage. Thanks to its compact size, you can stack several sieve sizes to save space. Rinse the sieve straight after use with warm water to prevent food residue from clogging the fine mesh.
