This is why Dex likes this article
Protect your engine against frost and corrosion with this NIGRIN coolant. At a 1:1 mixing ratio your cooling system keeps working reliably down to -38°C, suitable for both petrol and diesel engines.
When do you choose this product?
Why do you need coolant protection?
Coolant protection prevents your car's cooling system from freezing in frost and overheating at high temperatures. This product is essential for maintaining both petrol and diesel engines, especially during the winter months when temperatures can drop below zero.
Which vehicles is this suitable for?
This NIGRIN coolant protection works in both sealed and conventional cooling systems of petrol and diesel engines. The silicate-containing formula makes it suitable for long-term filling, which means you protect the cooling system for a longer period without frequent replacement.
Protection down to -38°C
With the correct mixing ratio of 1:1 (equal parts coolant and water), this product provides protection against freezing down to -38°C. This temperature is more than sufficient for Dutch winters, where extreme frost rarely drops below -20°C. The blue colour makes it easy to check the fluid level.
Practical mixing ratio
You mix this coolant protection with distilled water in a 1:1 ratio. For optimal protection down to -38°C, you therefore use an equal amount of coolant and water. Always check your owner's manual for specific recommendations from your car manufacturer, as some manufacturers may prescribe different mixing ratios.
