What does a drum unit do and when do you need one?
A drum unit is an essential part of your laser printer that ensures the toner is transferred evenly onto the paper. When your printouts become blotchy, show light streaks or the colours no longer look bright, it is time to replace the drum unit. This OKI drum unit is specifically designed for the C831 series and produces the magenta colour output.

Why choose this magenta variant?
This drum unit is intended solely for printing magenta colours in your OKI C831 printer. Unlike black-and-white printing, where one drum unit is enough, colour printers require separate drum units for each colour. By replacing only the magenta drum unit when it is empty, you save costs compared with replacing all the colours at once.

Realistic lifespan of 30,000 pages
This drum unit has a capacity of approximately 30,000 pages, which means you are well covered for a long time with average office use. The actual lifespan depends on your printing habits: image-heavy and colourful documents use up the drum unit faster than mainly text documents with few magenta accents.

Check compatibility and reference number
Always check that you have an OKI C831 printer before ordering this drum unit. The OEM reference number 44844406 is also printed on the packaging of your current drum unit, so you can be sure you are buying the right part. Keep the packaging of the old drum unit for any returns or recycling.
