When do you need biodegradable carrier bags?
These bio-film carrier bags have been specially developed for packaging fruit and vegetables. You choose this product when you want to package fresh produce in an environmentally friendly way, for example in a shop, at the market or for home use. Thanks to the transparent material, the products remain clearly visible.

Why this size of 470×220 mm?
This size is ideal for packaging medium quantities of fruit and vegetables. The format offers enough space for, for example, a kilo of apples, a bunch of carrots or several peppers. The bags are practical to use because they are not too large for small quantities, but also not too small for a normal shop.

Biodegradable properties and load capacity
The bags are made from bio-plastic with a thickness of 11 µm, which ensures sufficient strength with a load capacity of approximately 2.5 kg. The main advantage is that they are compostable according to the EN 13432 'Keimling' standard. This means they fully biodegrade under industrial composting conditions, making them a sustainable alternative to ordinary plastic bags.

Practical tips for use
You receive 150 pieces on a roll, which makes tearing off and using them easier. Store the roll dry and at room temperature for optimal quality. Although the bags are compostable, always check whether your local waste processor accepts bio-plastic in the GFT (green/organic waste) bin; otherwise you can dispose of them with the residual waste, where they are still more environmentally friendly than ordinary plastic.
