What are sugarcane plates and when do you use them?
These plates are made from sugarcane and offer a sustainable alternative to plastic disposable plates. Choose this type of tableware when you want to be environmentally conscious at picnics, parties or events where disposable tableware is handy.

Why this 160 mm size?
With a diameter of 160 mm, these plates are suitable for small meals, starters or desserts. This compact size is ideal for snacks at drinks receptions or as a side dish at barbecues and buffets.

Compostable and microwave-safe
The major benefit of sugarcane is that it is fully compostable, which reduces your waste. In addition, you can use these plates in the microwave at up to 800 Watts for a maximum of 2 minutes, which is handy for reheating food at events.

Practical tip for use
When using the microwave, pay attention to the maximum settings: no higher than 800 Watts and no longer than 2 minutes. Thanks to the 10 mm height, the plates have enough rim to hold sauces and moist dishes securely without them spilling over.
