Who is this fountain pen intended for?

The Pelikan Pelikano Junior P68L has been specially developed for left-handed writers learning to write with a fountain pen. Left-handed writing requires a different pen angle and writing movement than right-handed writing, and an ordinary fountain pen does not take this into account. This variant is specifically tailored to that, so the ink keeps flowing well even at the typical writing angle of a left-hander.

Why specifically the L-federbreite?

The Pelikano Junior P68L has a broad nib (federbreite L), which means you produce a thicker line than with a finer nib. For beginning writers, a broader nib is pleasant because small irregularities in handwriting are less noticeable and the pen glides more smoothly over the paper. The steel nib with iridium tip ensures an even ink flow and is more durable than an untreated nib.

Ergonomics as the starting point

The pen has a soft, ergonomic grip zone, so you can hold it comfortably without applying too much pressure. This is important for children who are still developing their writing posture. In addition, the pen case has a roll-off protection, so the pen does not roll off the desk and get damaged when you put it down.

Practical details to keep in mind

The Pelikano Junior P68L works with Pelikan fountain pen ink, via a cartridge or converter suitable for this model. A name label is supplied with the pen, handy for use at school. When purchasing replacement cartridges, make sure you choose ink cartridges that are compatible with Pelikan's Pelikano range, so the pen continues to function properly.
