What is a learner's pencil with a grip?
A grip pencil is a mechanical pencil specially developed for children who are learning to write. It works with replaceable graphite leads and has a click mechanism to advance the lead. This type of pencil helps children learn the correct writing posture and prevents them from applying too much pressure while writing.

Why specifically for left-handed children?
This Pelikan griffix model is specifically designed for left-handed learners. The ergonomic grip zone is adapted to the natural hand position of left-handed writers. As a result, left-handed children can develop a comfortable and correct writing posture, without their hand cramping or making unnatural movements.

Ideal lead thickness and hardness
The 2.0 mm leads are thicker than standard pencil leads, so they are less likely to break when children handle them a little more firmly. The HB hardness grade offers a good balance between smooth writing and durability. This produces clear lines without children having to press hard, which is important during the learning process.

Practical benefits of this system
The pencil comes with three spare leads, so you don't have to buy extra leads straight away. The click mechanism is simple for children to operate and prevents frustration caused by broken pencil tips. The pink/turquoise colour combination makes the pencil attractive to children and helps them recognise their own writing tool in the classroom.
