Who is this fountain pen intended for?
The Pelikan griffix fountain pen has been specially developed as a writing learner's pen for children who are learning to write and are left-handed. Left-handed writers hold the pen differently from right-handed writers, so a standard fountain pen can feel uncomfortable or even awkward in the hand. This pen is specifically designed to address that.

Why choose the left-handed version?
The ergonomic grip zone of this pen is shaped for a natural writing position for left-handed writers. As a result, your child learns the correct grip from an early age, which reduces hand fatigue and encourages a smoother writing motion. If you see a child writing with their left hand, it is important to deliberately choose this variant rather than the regular right-handed version.

The 0.45 mm writing line
The line width of 0.45 mm creates a fine, clear stroke on paper, which suits learning to develop legible handwriting well. The ink writes in blue, the colour that is standard in most primary schools for writing exercises. With the two ink cartridges included, you can get started straight away without having to buy cartridges separately.

Practical tip about ink cartridges
The pen is supplied with two ink cartridges in the packaging. If you want to keep using the pen afterwards, make sure you purchase replacement cartridges that are compatible with Pelikan griffix fountain pens. When buying refill cartridges, always check that they are suitable for this type, so you are not caught off guard when the first cartridges run out.
