When do you choose this product?
When do you need a brush of this size?
A round brush size 12 from the Pelikan 23 series has been specially developed for detail work and fine lines in watercolour, gouache and other water-based painting techniques. Choose this size when you need precision for small areas, outlines, or when you are working on smaller artworks where control is essential.
Why choose size 12 in this series?
Size 12 offers an excellent balance between point precision and paint-holding capacity. This size gives you enough control for detailed work, while still allowing you to efficiently fill smaller surfaces. It is a versatile size, suitable for beginning artists as well as experienced painters looking for a reliable detail brush.
The benefits of the wooden handle
The wooden handle provides a natural, comfortable grip while you paint. Wood has the advantage that it does not become slippery from moisture or paint on your fingers, which is important for stable brushwork. The shape offers a firm grip for precise work.
Practical tip for optimal use
Clean this brush straight after use with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently shape the hairs into a point and let the brush dry flat. Store the brush with reference 100435973 in a pen holder with the hairs facing up, so that the natural hair shape is retained and you can enjoy the precision this brush offers for a long time.
