What does this product do?
Hog bristle brushes are specially designed for working with opaque paints such as acrylic, tempera and oil paint. The stiff hog bristles allow you to spread and blend your paint well, while retaining their shape while you paint. You need these brushes when working with thicker layers of paint or when you want to create texture in your artwork.

Why this assorted set?
This 10-piece set contains two brushes of each size (4, 6, 8, 10 and 12), giving you plenty of flexibility while painting. Having different sizes means you can work on both fine details and large areas without constantly switching brushes. Having two of each size is handy, as you can use one brush for light colours and one for dark colours.

Durable construction with aluminium ferrule
The aluminium ferrule ensures the bristles are firmly attached to the wooden handle and prevents them from coming loose during intensive use. The natural wood of the handle sits comfortably in your hand and absorbs excess moisture, so you maintain your grip. This combination of materials makes the brushes suitable for regular use in art classes or a hobby studio.

Practical storage tip
The brushes come on a blister pack that you can keep for neat storage. Always clean hog bristle brushes straight after use with warm soapy water and let them dry flat to retain the shape of the bristles. By not letting the bristles dry upright, you prevent water from running into the ferrule and damaging the brush.
