What does this fountain pen do and when do you need it?

The Pelikan M 200 Pyrite is a fountain pen with a piston filling mechanism, which draws ink directly from an ink bottle. This makes it suitable for everyday writing if you prefer a pen you can refill again and again. The pen is a good choice if you deliberately step away from disposable cartridges and prefer to work with loose ink.

Why this particular version?

The M 200 Pyrite stands out thanks to its translucent barrel with a golden sheen, which gives the pen a distinctive look. Thanks to the ink window, you can see at any time how much ink is left, so you are never caught out without. The gold-plated steel nib and gold-plated decorative elements give the pen a refined finish that goes well beyond an entry-level model.

Practical tip: gift or personal use

The pen comes in a gift box, so it is also suitable for giving without any extra packaging. The cap is fitted with a Schnabel clip, which lets you attach the pen securely to an inside pocket or notebook. For the best results with the piston mechanism, it is preferable to use standard water-based fountain pen ink.
