When do you use a brush pen with a brush tip?
This Pentel Arts brush pen is specially designed for calligraphy, hand lettering and artistic writing. You use this pen when you want to create variation in line thickness within a single stroke. The flexible brush tip responds to the pressure you apply, so you can make both fine details and broad accents.

Why choose this size of 0.3–2.0 mm?
The range of 0.3 to 2.0 mm gives you the perfect balance between precision and expressiveness. With light pressure you make thin lines of 0.3 mm for details and elegant flourishes, while more pressure allows broad strokes of 2.0 mm for capitals and decorative elements. This variation arises naturally while writing, without having to switch pens.

Flexible brush tip with metal collar
The brush tip is surrounded by a metal ring that provides stability and durability. This construction prevents the brush hairs from splaying and keeps the tip in shape for longer. The flexibility is retained, but you have more control over the line work than with ordinary brush pens.

Practical features for everyday use
The water-based ink ensures that the pen does not dry out and keeps writing smoothly. The plastic casing with metallic effect is the same colour as the ink, so you can quickly recognise the right pen. The clip on the cap allows attachment to paper or clothing. Please note that this pen is made from 77% recycled material.
