When do you need a burglary-resistant safe?
A safe with resistance grade 2, such as the Phoenix MERCURY HS2054K, protects your valuables against burglary and theft. This safe is suitable for securing cash, jewellery, documents and other valuables in both private and business environments. With a double-bit lock, you get reliable mechanical security without any dependence on batteries or electronic components.

Why choose this 197-litre size?
With a capacity of 197 litres and three adjustable shelves, this safe offers ample storage space for medium to large collections of valuable items. The internal dimensions of 536 x 315 x 1,168 mm allow A4 folders to be stood upright and various items to be stored in an organised way. This size is well suited to offices, shops or larger homes where substantial assets need to be secured.

What does resistance grade 2 mean?
This safe has a certified resistance grade 2, which means it is resistant to burglary attempts using simple tools. For private use, you can store cash to a value of up to €100,000 in it; for business use, the limit is €50,000. This rating gives you assurance about the level of security and is often required for insurance purposes.

Practical considerations when installing
When installing, bear in mind the considerable weight of 527 kg – this safe requires a sturdy foundation or floor reinforcement. The external dimensions are 650 x 500 x 1,280 mm, so make sure there is sufficient space around it for access. The prepared cable entry point makes it possible to connect an intruder alarm later for additional security.
