When should you choose a pigment marker with a brush effect?
A pigment marker such as the POSCA PC-5BR is ideal when you want to create variable line widths in a single stroke. Thanks to the semi-flexible foam tip, you can colour in both fine details and broader areas without switching markers. This makes it perfect for calligraphy, illustrations, hand lettering and artistic projects where you need expressive lines.

Why choose the 1.0-4 mm brush variant?
With a line width of 1.0 to 4 mm, you have a versatile marker that adapts to the pressure you apply and the angle at which you draw. The semi-flexible foam tip gives you more control than a fully flexible tip, while still delivering the desired brush effect. This variant is excellent for medium-sized projects where you need both details and filling.

Durable water-based pigment ink
The ink in this POSCA marker is light-, water- and UV-resistant, meaning your work will keep its colour for years. Despite being water-based, the pigment ink dries permanently and is resistant to moisture. This makes the marker suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, on paper and on more durable materials alike.

Practical tip for optimal use
Always shake the marker well before use and press the tip onto paper a few times until the ink flows evenly. Store the marker horizontally for the best tip longevity. Because of its grey colour, this marker combines excellently with other POSCA colours for shadow effects and neutral accents in your designs.
