What is a pigment marker and when do you need one?
A pigment marker such as the POSCA PC-5M is designed for durable drawing and writing on a variety of surfaces. You use this marker when you want bright, opaque colours that won't fade or show through. The pigment ink ensures your drawings and notes stay visible for a long time, even on dark or coloured surfaces.

Why choose the PC-5M variant?
The PC-5M has a round tip that is ideal for versatile use. With a line width of 1.8–2.5 mm, you're right between fine detail work and bold accents. This medium tip gives you control for precise drawings, but is also wide enough for colouring in small areas or writing clearly legible text.

Sky blue for specific applications
The sky blue colour is a light, friendly shade that stands out well without being garish. This colour works excellently for illustrations, decorative lettering, or when you want to make a soft yet clear highlight. The pigment composition ensures the colour remains consistent and does not fade with use.

Practical tip for optimal use
Store the POSCA marker horizontally and shake it well before use to distribute the pigments evenly. Always test first on a small piece of the material you're going to draw on, especially with porous surfaces. The round tip may become slightly wider with use, but it retains its shape well under normal use.
