What does a pigment marker do and when do you need one?
A pigment marker such as the POSCA PC1MR is used for precision work where you want permanent, clear markings. This pen is ideal for marking materials exposed to moisture, light or outdoor conditions, because the ink is resistant to water and UV radiation.

Why choose the 0.7 mm version?
With a line width of 0.7 mm, this POSCA sits right between fine detail work and clearly visible markings. The calibrated tip ensures a consistent line width, so you can work accurately without the line bleeding or becoming uneven. This size is perfect for technical drawings, labels or markings on smaller surfaces.

Why pigment ink matters
The great advantage of this pen lies in its lightfast pigment ink. Ordinary felt-tip pens fade quickly in sunlight, but this POSCA keeps its yellow colour bright for years. The ink is also odourless, which makes working in enclosed spaces more pleasant. The combination of water, light and UV resistance makes this pen suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Practical tip for optimal use
Store the pen horizontally and shake it regularly to keep the pigments well mixed. Always test first on a small piece of the material, especially on porous surfaces. Thanks to its waterproof properties, you can work over the marking with other materials without the yellow colour bleeding through or being spoiled.
