When do you use a professional mechanical pencil?
A mechanical pencil with a 0.5 mm lead is ideal for technical drawing, architecture, engineering and precise writing. You choose this when you need consistent line thickness without sharpening, and when you need to draw accurate lines for technical drawings or detailed work.

Why choose the solid metal version?
The Rotring 800 has a fully metal body instead of plastic, which ensures a robust construction that lasts for years. The classic hexagonal design prevents it from rolling off your desk and offers a familiar grip during prolonged use.

The benefit of the fully retractable mechanism
This mechanical pencil features a unique fully retractable mechanism, so you can transport it safely without the fine tip breaking. You can simply put it in your pocket or case without a protective cap. The rigid tubular tip ensures maximum precision when drawing along rulers.

Practical details for everyday use
The milled grip zone offers extra grip during intensive use. The 24 carat gold-plated details with protective lacquer give the mechanical pencil a professional look that is resistant to wear. Please note that this model has been given a new reference number - the functionality remains identical to the previous model.
