When do you need a sturdy sketchbook?
A hardcover sketchbook is ideal when you draw a lot on the go or want to protect your work well. The A4 format offers plenty of room for detailed sketches, studies and drawings, while still being comfortable to take with you. This size fits in most bags and gives you the freedom to work on both portraits and landscapes.

Why this paper weight suits a range of techniques
With 140 g/m² paper you get a sturdy surface that is suitable for various drawing and painting techniques. The acid-free paper ensures your artworks won't discolour or become brittle over time. The fine grain of the paper offers just enough texture for pencil, charcoal and pastels, without feeling too rough.

Practical details that make the difference
The rounded corners prevent pages from tearing or folding over during use. The elastic closure keeps your sketchbook firmly shut, so loose pages don't get damaged. The ribbon bookmark helps you quickly find the right page, especially handy when you're working on several projects at once.

Suitable for which materials
Thanks to the fine grain and the weight of 140 g/m², you can use this sketchbook for dry techniques such as pencil, charcoal, pastel crayon and fineliner. For wet techniques such as watercolour or ink, this paper is less suitable, as it has not been specifically treated against moisture. Store the sketchbook flat to prevent warping.
