Complete graphite pencil set with 12 different degrees of hardness for every drawing technique. From 2H to 9B, you have every shade of grey within reach, neatly stored in the sturdy cardboard case.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need graphite pencils?
Graphite pencils are essential for drawing, sketching and technical work where you want to create different line weights and shading. Whether you are making architectural drawings, drawing portraits or simply sketching, graphite pencils give you control over details and shadows that ordinary pencils cannot offer.
Why this set of 12 different grades?
This Royal Talens set contains 12 pencils with grades from 2H to 9B, giving you the full spectrum from hard to very soft graphite. The hard pencils (2H, H) are ideal for fine lines and details, HB for general use, and the soft grades (B to 9B) for dark shadows and expressive strokes.
Practical storage in a cardboard case
The sturdy cardboard case features a built-in tray specially designed to hold the pencils in place. This prevents the pencils from rolling around and getting damaged during transport or storage. You can easily identify each pencil by the grade printed on it.
Tip for optimal use
Always start with the harder grades (2H, H) for your basic sketch and gradually move on to the softer grades for shadows and accents. The very soft pencils (7B, 8B, 9B) are perfect for deep shadows, but wear down faster than the harder varieties. Keep the set in the supplied case to protect the tips.
