Get creative with watercolours! This Van Gogh set contains 15 half pans in assorted colours, including a brush and mixing palette, so you can start straight away.
When do you choose this product?
What does this watercolour set do?
Watercolour paint is applied with water to create transparent, airy layers of colour on paper. This set from Royal Talens' Van Gogh range is a basic set that lets you get started straight away, without having to buy any separate materials. The 15 half pans offer a broad colour palette, so you can paint both fine details and larger areas.
Why this set with 15 pans?
The set contains 15 assorted colours in half pans, housed in a plastic box that is easy to take along. Half pans are economical to use: you simply activate the paint with a damp brush, and after use the paint dries back into the pan for reuse. The set also includes 3 extra colours for free, in addition to the 12 standard colours.
The colours in this set
The palette is broadly composed, including Chinese white, permanent lemon yellow, azo yellow, permanent light red, ultramarine deep, phthalo sky blue, sap green, viridian, burnt terra di siena, yellow ochre, Payne's grey, quinacridone rose, Prussian blue and burnt umber. This covers warm and cool shades, earth tones and bright, transparent colours, which makes the set suitable for a wide range of subjects.
Practical tip: included materials
The box contains a size 6 synthetic brush and a mixing palette, so you can start right away without any extra purchases. Use the mixing palette to combine colours or to dilute a shade before applying it to paper. If you want to expand later, separate Van Gogh watercolour pans from Royal Talens are available, which fit seamlessly with the same colour range.
