This antistatic mat not only protects your floor, but also safely dissipates electrostatic charges thanks to the included earthing block. Made from rubber free from harmful substances such as PVC and phthalates, ideal for a healthy workplace.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need an antistatic floor mat?
A floor protection mat protects your floor against damage from chair castors, but this ESD variant has an additional function: dissipating static electricity. You need this antistatic property when working with sensitive electronic equipment that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge.
Why this size of 1200×1300 mm?
This size provides space for an office chair and sufficient freedom of movement around it. The format is suitable for an average workstation where you regularly roll back and forth with your chair. The mat covers the area where most movement takes place without taking up unnecessarily much floor space.
How does the antistatic function work?
The mat is made of rubber and has a thickness of 2.0 mm. The material is conductive, meaning it reliably dissipates electrostatic charges. The mat is supplied with an earthing stud, with which you can earth the mat so that accumulated static electricity can safely drain away to the ground.
Practical considerations during installation
For optimal performance of the antistatic function, you must connect the supplied earthing stud correctly. The rubber material is free from toxic substances, PVC and plasticisers, making it suitable for long-term use. The grey marbled surface is smooth, so chair castors can easily roll over it.
