When do you choose black paper?
This SAKURA sketchbook is specially designed for drawing techniques where you work with light materials on a dark surface. Black paper offers the perfect contrast for white ink, coloured pencils, pastels or metallic markers. You use this type of sketchbook when you want to create dramatic effects or experiment with light and shadow on a dark base.

Acid-free 140 gram paper
The paper has a weight of 140 grams per square metre and is acid-free, which means your drawings won't discolour over time. This paper weight is sturdy enough to support various drawing materials without show-through, yet still suitable for detailed work. The 80 sheets offer ample space for an extensive project or several smaller studies.

Practical hardcover finish
The black hardcover effectively protects your drawings during transport. The elastic closure strap keeps the book securely shut, while the pen loop ensures you always have a pen or pencil to hand. The folded pocket in the cover provides extra storage space for loose notes or reference material.
