When do you choose this product?
What does a steerable kite do?
A steerable kite, also known as a lenkmatte, differs from an ordinary kite in that you can actively control it with two lines. You can perform loops, dive manoeuvres and other spectacular stunts with it. This type of kite is ideal if you're looking for more of a challenge than simply letting a traditional kite hover in the sky.
Why choose this size?
With dimensions of 1600 × 650 mm, this kite falls into the medium-sized sport kite category. This size offers a good balance between manoeuvrability and stability, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced flyers. The size ensures you can keep the kite well in the air without it becoming too heavy to handle.
Powerful performance in good wind
This SCHILDKRÖT kite can generate considerable pulling force in sufficient wind. This means you'll get a physical experience where you genuinely feel the power of the wind. Do take care in strong winds, however, as the pulling force can become surprisingly strong.
Practical flying experience with dual lines
The kite comes with 2 × 25 metre lines, giving you enough length to fly the kite high and room for acrobatic movements. Make sure you have plenty of open space – think of a large field or beach – so you can make full use of the lines without any obstacles.
