When do you need an active USB extension cable?
An active USB extension cable is useful when the standard cables of your USB devices are too short and you need more distance. Whereas regular extension cables can suffer signal loss over longer distances, this active version has built-in amplification that keeps your USB 3.0 devices functioning optimally, even over longer runs.

Why choose this active extension cable?
This cable gives you enough room to position devices flexibly without being tied to the immediate vicinity of your computer. This is ideal for situations where, for example, you want to place an external hard drive, webcam or printer in a different location in your office from where your computer is.

Active amplification for stable transmission
The active nature of this cable means that electronic components are built in to amplify the USB signal during transmission. As a result, you can rely on the full 5 Gbit/s transfer speed offered by USB 3.0, even at greater cable lengths. This prevents problems such as sluggish file transfers or connection drops.

Practical connection and compatibility
This cable has a USB-A plug and a USB-A socket, which means you can use it directly between your computer and USB 3.0 devices with standard USB-A ports. Please note that for optimal performance, both devices must support USB 3.0. The round cable with a 5.5 mm diameter is flexible enough for easy installation along walls or through cable trays.
