This shiverpeaks cable is suitable for connecting devices over a greater distance. USB 3.2 Gen 2 is inherently limited to short distances, whereas the hybrid cable with copper and optical fibres (POF) makes greater distances possible. You need this cable when you have to connect devices at a distance from each other and require both data transfer and power.
Why the 90° connector is handy
The 90° angled plug provides a compact connection, which is useful for devices placed against a wall or in tight spaces. Thanks to the compact plug design and the flexible cable, the cable is also ideally suited to VR applications.
Dual functionality: data and power
This cable combines USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer with PowerDelivery 3.0 up to 60W (20V/3A). However, not all devices with USB-C support 60W fast charging or 10 Gbit/s data transfer; please check with the manufacturer of your device. Please note: the cable is not suitable for docking stations with video support, as DP Alternate Mode for video signals is not supported.
Plug & Play with no fuss
The cable works with Plug & Play. According to the manufacturer, it is compatible with, among others, Hi-Speed USB, SuperSpeed USB, SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps, USB4 and Thunderbolt 3/4, and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. For the full 10 Gbit/s, the connected device must also support this.
