When do you need an HDMI cable?
An HDMI cable is used to connect screens, laptops, games consoles or media boxes to your monitor, TV or projector. You need this 2-metre version when your devices are placed close to each other, such as a laptop on your desk that you want to connect to an external monitor.

Why this 2-metre length?
With 2 metres you have enough room to position your devices flexibly without the cable being taut. This length is ideal for desk setups where your computer is under the desk and your monitor is on top of it, or when you connect a laptop to a TV mounted at a short distance.

HDMI 1.4 standard for modern resolutions
This cable supports the HDMI 1.4 standard and can display image resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz and 3840 x 2160 at 24, 25 and 30 Hz. The transfer speed of 10.2 Gbit/s ensures stable connections at higher resolutions. The gold-plated contacts offer reliable signal transmission and protect against corrosion.

Compatibility with your current equipment
The cable is backward compatible with HDMI versions 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, so you can also connect older devices without any problems. For audio, this cable supports various formats such as Dolby Digital, DTS and DVD-Audio. Do check whether your devices support the desired resolution before using higher settings.
