When do you choose this product?
When do you need brush pen felt tips?
These STABILO felt tips are specially designed for creative projects where you want to create different line widths. The flexible brush tip makes them ideal for hand lettering, where you combine thin and thick strokes for beautiful letters. They also offer much more variety than ordinary felt tips for colouring in drawings or other DIY applications.
Why a set of 12 in these colours?
With 12 different colours, you have a complete basis for most creative projects. The set contains a good mix of primary colours such as yellow and purple, neutral shades such as black, medium grey and various blue and green tones. From violet and lilac to carmine red and orange, you get both warm and cool colours to work with.
How does the flexible brush tip work?
What makes these felt tips special is that the line thickness varies with the pressure you apply. With light pressure you make thin, precise lines, while more pressure produces broader strokes. This feature makes them particularly suitable for hand lettering, where you need different line widths within a single letter for a professional effect.
Practical tip for use
Always start with light pressure to practise the flexibility of the brush tip. For hand lettering you often work from thin to thick: make the upward strokes thin and the downward strokes thick. Store the pens horizontally to keep the brush tip in optimal condition.
