What are marking pencils, and when do you use them?
Marking pencils are versatile marking tools that you use for marking on various surfaces where ordinary pens or pencils fail. They are indispensable for construction projects, workshops and technical applications where you need clear, visible lines on rough or difficult surfaces.

Why choose this universal variant?
These STAEDTLER Omnigraph marking pencils can be used on virtually all materials. Unlike ordinary chalk, which only works on dry surfaces, you can also use these marking pencils on wet wood and other damp surfaces. This makes them particularly practical for outdoor work or in damp conditions.

Permanent marking that stays put
The main advantage of these marking pencils is their waterproof property. Once applied, your markings won't disappear due to rain or moisture. This is essential when your markings need to remain visible for a longer period, for example on construction projects that span several days or when used in damp environments.

Practical size for professional use
At a length of 114 mm and a diameter of approximately 11 mm, these hexagonal marking pencils sit comfortably in the hand and won't roll off your work surface. The pack of 12 pieces ensures you always have enough stock for larger projects. The black colour gives maximum contrast on most light surfaces, so your markings stay clearly visible.
