When do you choose this product?
When do you need soft pastel chalk?
Soft pastel chalk is used for artistic techniques where you want to create gentle transitions and atmospheric effects. This STAEDTLER Design Journey set is ideal when you want to experiment with blending techniques or take your first steps in working with pastels.
Why choose this 12-colour size?
With 12 carefully selected colours, you get a complete basic palette for a variety of creative projects. The set includes essential colours such as white, lime, pink, vermilion and sky blue, complemented by dark shades such as ultramarine and dark green. This number of colours offers enough variety without being overwhelming for beginners.
Blendability as the key feature
The blendable nature of these pastel chalks makes it possible to create soft colour transitions and gradients. You can easily mix and blend colours with your finger, a tissue or special blending tools. The paper wrapping keeps your hands clean while drawing and gives you more control over applying the colour.
Practical tip for use
These pastel chalks are of studio quality and are unbreakable (bruchsicher), which means the sticks are less likely to break during use. Store the chalks in their original packaging after use to prevent damage. For the best results, use special pastel paper with some texture, so the chalk adheres well to the paper.
