Beige double-sided floor tape from tesa, specially designed for carpets and PVC floors. With textile reinforcement, it tears effortlessly by hand and leaves no adhesive residue when removed.
When do you choose this product?
What does this double-sided tape do?
The tesa 55731 is a double-sided adhesive tape specially developed for laying carpet and PVC floor covering. The tape firmly fixes the floor covering to the subfloor without any extra tools being needed, as you can easily tear it off by hand.
When is this the right choice?
This tape is suitable if you want to secure carpet or PVC floor covering and also be able to remove it later without leaving any residue behind. Thanks to its residue-free removability, it is a good choice for rented homes or temporary fit-outs, where you want to keep the subfloor intact. The tape is also solvent-free and odourless, which is pleasant to work with in enclosed spaces.
The textile reinforcement as the key feature
The tape is reinforced with a fabric scrim, giving it strength and tear resistance during application. At the same time, this textile reinforcement means you can still easily tear the tape by hand to the desired length, without needing scissors or a knife. This makes relaying floor covering more practical and quicker.
Practical tip on dimensions and use
The roll is 50 mm wide and 10 metres long, which is a good basic length for finishing seams and edges in an average room. The beige colour of the tape blends in under most light floor coverings. Please note that this tape is intended for carpet and PVC floor covering; for other surfaces such as tiles or wood, it is advisable to choose a different type of fixing tape.
