With this Tombow set, you bring manga creations to life. The fine tip creates precise lines, while the broad brush tip fills areas effortlessly, and thanks to the blendable ink you combine colours as you like.
When do you choose this product?
What are Dual Brush Pens and what are they used for?
TOMBOW ABT Dual Brush Pens are professional dual-tip markers specially developed for drawing, illustration and hand lettering. This manga set contains colours that match the popular Japanese drawing style perfectly. You use them when you need flexibility between fine detail work and flat areas of colour in a single pen.
Why this manga-specific colour selection?
This set contains 10 carefully selected colours (025, 177, 491, 555, 845, 850, 933, 990, N15, N00) that are typical of manga illustrations. The combination of warm skin tones, neutral greys and accent colours lets you draw characters and scenes without having to buy extra colours.
How does the dual-tip system work?
Each pen has two ends: a fine tip for precise line work and a broad brush tip for filling flat areas of colour. The stroke widths range from 0.8 to 10 mm, so you can move from thin outlines to broad shadows without switching pens. The water-based ink allows you to blend colours directly on the paper for smooth transitions.
Practical benefits in use
The pens are odourless, which is pleasant during long drawing sessions. Thanks to the water-based ink, you can blend colours directly on the paper to create new shades and transitions. Do note, however, that you should use suitable paper that won't bleed through with the broader brush tip, especially when using colour intensively.
