What does this calligraphy pen do and when do you need it?
The TOMBOW Fudenosuke is a calligraphy pen with a flexible brush tip, specially designed for calligraphy, hand lettering, sketchnotes and doodling. You need this pen when you want to create variation in line thickness by adjusting the pressure and angle of your pen stroke. The water-based ink with colour pigments ensures a consistent grey colour in your creations.

Why hardness grade 1 is the right choice
Hardness grade 1 means this pen is suitable for writing small lettering and detailed work. The flexible brush tip gives you control over fine lines and letterforms, while applying pressure still lets you make thicker strokes.

Flexibility of the brush tip
The flexible brush tip is the defining feature of this pen and provides variability in line thickness. A light touch produces thin lines, while applying more pressure results in broader strokes. This property allows you to create dynamic lettering in which thin and thick strokes blend together naturally.

Practical features for everyday use
The water-based ink is odourless, which is pleasant during longer creative sessions. Because it contains colour pigments, the grey colour is rich and long-lasting. For the best results, use smooth paper types that won't let the ink bleed through, so the brush tip can perform optimally.
