When do you need this small 12V battery?
The VARTA Professional Electronics V23GA is a compact 12 volt alkaline battery specially developed for small electronic devices. You need this battery for devices that require a higher voltage than standard AA or AAA batteries can deliver, but in a very compact format.

Why choose this specific V23GA format?
With a diameter of just 10.3 mm and a height of 28.5 mm, this battery fits into the smallest electronic devices where space is crucial. The V23GA format is a standardised size that you will find in specific electronics where other battery sizes are simply too large.

What does the 52 mAh capacity mean in practice?
The capacity of 52 mAh is relatively low, which means this battery is not intended for devices with high power consumption. You are best advised to use this battery for devices that consume little power or are only active periodically, such as remote controls for garage doors, small transmitters or security equipment.

Recognise the right battery by its reference codes
This battery is also known under the OEM code 04223 101 401 and is sometimes referred to as L1028. Always check your device or manual for these codes to make sure you are buying the correct replacement. The battery is supplied in a blister pack that offers protection during storage.
