What is pouring medium and when do you need it?
Pouring medium is a special acrylic additive that you use when you want to create fluid artworks. You mix it with acrylic paint to create a thick, pourable mass with which you can achieve interesting effects such as marble patterns, cells and flowing transitions. This is ideal for fluid art, mixed media projects and experimental painting techniques.

Why choose this pouring medium?
This pouring medium optimally preserves the original colours of your acrylic paint because it has no colour of its own. The water-based formulation creates a flexible surface layer that does not yellow over time. This means your artwork will not crack or lose its original appearance. The flexibility is particularly important when working on canvas or other surfaces that may move.

Practical tip for mixing
Gradually mix the pouring medium into your acrylic paint until you reach the desired consistency. Start with a ratio of roughly 1:1 and adjust to your preference. Make sure you use acrylic paint of good quality that is well compatible with this water-based medium for the best results.
