When do you need a cutting ruler?
A cutting ruler is used when you want to cut materials such as paper, cardboard or thin plastic precisely with a Stanley knife or cutter. Unlike an ordinary ruler, it is specially designed to serve as a cutting guide, where the steel edge ensures a sharp, straight cutting line without damaging your blade.

Advantage of the aluminium construction with steel edge
The aluminium provides a light yet stable base, while the steel edge makes the real difference. This hard metal edge prevents your blade from damaging the ruler during repeated use and ensures your cutting line stays straight, even after many cutting strokes.

Practical tip for stable cutting
The anti-slip rubber insert on the underside prevents the ruler from sliding during cutting. Make sure the surface is clean so the rubber strip has optimal grip. Always place your free hand firmly on the ruler, but keep it away from the cutting line for your safety.
