What does this utility knife do and when do you need it?

A utility knife is the tool you want to have to hand for precise cutting work: opening cardboard boxes, cutting film, trimming tape or marking materials. The 9 mm blade width of this model makes it suitable for finer cutting tasks where you want more control than a wider variant offers.

Why choose this size with an aluminium housing?

The housing of this knife is made of aluminium, which provides a firm grip without the knife feeling unnecessarily heavy in your hand. That makes it pleasant for extended use, for example if you regularly unpack boxes, process materials or want to quickly trim something at your workstation. Compared with a plastic housing, aluminium feels more robust and the knife itself is less likely to be damaged.

How does the blade's click system work?

This utility knife features an automatic blade lock and securing mechanism. This means the blade clicks into place as soon as you extend it, without you having to fix it manually. This gives you more confidence while cutting, as the blade cannot slide back unexpectedly. Thanks to the metal guide, the blade moves smoothly and stably.

Practical tip for use and blade replacement

The knife works with 9 mm snap-off blades, a common size that you can easily find as a replacement blade. When the blade becomes blunt, snap off a segment using the breaker at the end of the knife, so you always work with a sharp cutting edge. Store the knife with the blade retracted to ensure safety at the workstation.
