When do you use a flat brush with synthetic bristles?
A flat brush, size 9, is the perfect tool for precision painting work. You use this brush for cutting in along wall edges such as windows and doors, and for touch-up work where accuracy is essential. Thanks to its compact dimensions, you have control over small surfaces and can work neatly along edges and corners.

Why this size for detail work?
With size 9 and the tapered bristle shape, this brush offers the ideal balance between precision and coverage. The narrow width makes it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces and to work along straight lines without accidentally touching other surfaces. These dimensions make the brush suitable for both wall paint and varnishes.

Synthetic bristles for an optimal paint finish
The brush has stabilised synthetic bristles with a tapered shape, which ensures even paint release and a smooth result. The bristles release paint gradually, which prevents streaking. The synthetic bristle blend offers sufficient firmness for an even coat of paint.

Practical details for durable use
The brush has an unvarnished softwood handle that sits comfortably in the hand and a rust-resistant ferrule that holds the bristles in place. After use, it is best to clean the brush straight away with the appropriate solvents, depending on the type of paint you have used. Hang the brush up to preserve the natural shape of the bristles.
