What does this masking tape do and when do you need it?

Masking tape is used to protect surfaces during painting or filling work. The WESTEX PROFI KREPP K is a smooth crêpe tape with a medium-strength adhesive, specially designed for masking work indoors. Think of situations where you want to shield skirting boards, window sills or other finishes before you start painting.

Why choose this size?

With a width of 300 mm and a roll length of 20 metres, this tape is suitable for larger surfaces that you want to cover in one go. The 300 mm width makes it ideal for wide window sills and wide skirting boards, so you need less overlap and finish faster.

An honest note on the adhesive strength

The medium-strength adhesive has been chosen deliberately: the tape adheres well enough to keep paint splashes out, but releases without damaging the underlying surface. It is important to know that the tape is intended for use indoors for a maximum of 7 days. If you leave the tape on for longer, or use it outdoors, removal may become more difficult or adhesive residue may be left behind.

Practical tip for use

Thanks to the tape's good unrolling properties, you work quickly and without tearing or snagging. This tape has been specially developed for application to smooth interior materials such as window sills and skirting boards. When applying it, make sure the surface is clean and dry, so the medium-strength adhesive performs at its best and you are left with a neat paint edge after painting.
