What is this mechanical pencil used for, and when do you need it?
This Caran d'Ache Fixpencil mechanical pencil is designed for precision work. You use it when you want to draw lines of constant thickness, for example in technical drawing, sketching or detailed writing. The sturdy construction gives you more control than standard mechanical pencils.

Practical push-button mechanism with built-in sharpener
The clutch mechanism means you can easily push new lead forward with the push button when needed. Particularly handy is the built-in lead sharpener in the push button itself, so you always have a sharp point without having to carry extra tools.

Durable construction with hexagonal grip
The 135 mm hexagonal aluminium barrel gives you a firm grip and prevents it from rolling off your desk. The flexible clip keeps the mechanical pencil securely in place in your pocket or on paper. Please note: the colour of the push button is supplied at random in red, black or blue - you cannot specify a particular colour preference.
