Sketching and shading at a professional level: this set gives you five grey tones plus a multiliner to finish your illustrations straight away. Thanks to the dual tip you switch effortlessly between fine lines and broad areas, and the quick-drying alcohol ink lets colours flow smoothly into each other.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need greyscale tones for your drawings?
Greyscale tones are essential for creating shadows, depth and dimension in your drawings. This COPIC ciao set contains 5 different greyscale tones, perfect for layouts, sketches and illustrations. Whether you are making technical drawings, drawing manga or working on graphic design, greyscale tones give your work the professional look you are after.
Why choose this particular marker combination?
This set combines 5 COPIC ciao markers with a 0.3 mm COPIC Multiliner, giving you a complete foundation for detailed work. The markers have two tips: a medium fine tip for precision work and a brush tip for filling larger areas. The multiliner delivers sharp lines and details that match the greyscale tones perfectly.
Advantages of the alcohol base
The alcohol base ensures the ink dries quickly, so you can work efficiently without smudges or bleed-through. Moreover, these markers are blendable, meaning you can create smooth transitions between different greyscale tones. This gives you far more possibilities than ordinary markers.
Compatibility and use
These COPIC markers work best on dedicated marker paper or smooth paper that does not absorb too much ink. Note that the alcohol base can bleed through thin paper, so always use a protective sheet underneath. The markers are refillable and the nibs are replaceable, so you can enjoy this investment for a long time.

Dex knows - user tips
Let the markers run across a scrap of paper before you start your drawing, so the ink flows evenly. As the ink is alcohol-based, it is best to use these markers in a well-ventilated room.
