Orange 30-metre Cat.7 installation cable for reliable, fast network connections in professional installations. With S/FTP shielding and 600 MHz bandwidth, you can build a solid cabled infrastructure.
When do you choose this product?
What does this installation cable do, and when do you need it?
A Cat.7 installation cable is used when you want to run a fixed network point through a wall, floor or ceiling. Unlike patch cables, this cable is intended for permanent installations, for example between a patch panel and a wall socket. The 30-metre length makes it suitable for routes within a single floor or room, taking into account the route the cable follows through the structure.
Why Cat.7 and S/FTP for your installation?
Cat.7 supports a bandwidth of up to 600 MHz, which provides room for demanding network applications at high speeds. The S/FTP shielding means that each twisted pair is individually wrapped in metallic foil, and the entire cable core also has an additional braided shield. This makes the cable particularly resistant to electromagnetic interference, which is useful in environments with a lot of electrical equipment or cables running in parallel.
Honest about the conductor: CCA instead of solid copper
The wires in this cable are made of CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium): an aluminium core with a copper layer. This is a common choice in fixed installation cables and works well for data transmission over short to medium distances. LogiLink states that the Cat.7 performance applies up to a cable length of 70 metres, so at 30 metres you are well within that limit.
Practical tip: sheath and fire class
The outer sheath is made of LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), which means the material does not release halogen gases in a fire. This is relevant for installations in enclosed spaces and is specified in the Euroclass Eca fire rating under EN50575. The orange colour helps you recognise this cable in a patch cabinet or cable tray alongside other types of cabling.
