What does this coffee cup do and when do you need it?

The NATURE Star PaperOn coffee cup is a disposable cup made of cardboard, designed for serving hot drinks such as coffee and tea. You need this type of cup when you want to offer guests, customers or staff a hot drink without using crockery that has to be washed up. That makes them suitable for busy situations where speed and convenience come first.

Why this size and finish?

With a capacity of 0.4 litres, you have room for a standard coffee serving with a little extra, for example for a latte or a large filter coffee. The cup has a diameter of 90 mm and a height of 132 mm, which matches common proportions for takeaway cups. Because the cup has a single wall, it is light and compact, which is handy for storage and use.

Honest about the material

The cup is made of cardboard with a water-based protective coating on the inside. That coating helps the cup keep its shape when in contact with hot liquids and is declared food-safe, meaning it is safe to use with drinks. Because the protective layer is water-based rather than plastic-based, this is a more environmentally conscious choice compared with traditional PE-coated cups.

Practical tip for use and storage

These cups are supplied in packs of 50, which is useful for managing stock at smaller locations or in home-office environments. If you want to cover the cup during transport, check whether a lid with a diameter of 90 mm fits, as this is the most common size for this type of cup. Store the cups dry and preferably in their original packaging to prevent deformation.
