When do you need an HDMI to DVI-D cable?
You use this cable to connect devices with different connections. You need it, for example, when you want to connect a modern laptop with an HDMI output to an older monitor with only a DVI-D input, or the other way around. The cable works in both directions, so you can also use it to connect a device with an HDMI connection to a monitor or TV with a DVI-D interface.

Why choose a 10 metre length?
With a length of 10 metres, you can place devices at a distance from each other, for example when your computer and monitor cannot stand next to each other. The contacts of the plugs are gold-plated.

Image resolutions per connection
According to the manufacturer, the cable supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 pixels (60 Hz). On the HDMI side, the specification gives 3840 x 2160 pixels at 24, 25 and 30 Hz and 4096 x 2160 pixels at 24 Hz. The HDMI 1.4 standard has a transfer rate of up to 10.2 Gbit/s.

Note: only the video signal is transmitted
Although the HDMI side of this cable can handle audio signals such as Dolby Digital and DTS, DVI-D only transmits the video signal. For sound, check with the manufacturer of your devices. The cable is backwards compatible with HDMI standards 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1.
