What does this product do and when do you need it?
This STABILO EASYbirdy Timber R is an ergonomic school fountain pen, specially designed for right-handed children who are learning to write. You choose this fountain pen when your child is making the switch from pencil to fountain pen, or when regular fountain pens feel too heavy or awkward. The ergonomic design helps develop a correct writing posture.

Why specifically the right-handed version?
This fountain pen is suitable only for right-handed writers due to its specific shape and grip zone layout. The non-slip grip zone is positioned so that right-handed children automatically adopt the correct finger position. For left-handed children, this fountain pen would actually work counterproductively and feel uncomfortable.

Advantage of the maple wood barrel
The barrel is made from maple wood, which gives the fountain pen a natural look and a pleasant grip. Maple wood is lighter than metal but sturdier than plastic, so the fountain pen sits well in the hand without becoming too heavy for small hands. The wood also provides a warm, non-slippery grip.

Practical feature: adjustable nib angle
A special feature is the adjustable nib angle of the pen. You can adjust the angle of the pen nib to suit the child's writing style. This helps in finding the optimal writing position. The fountain pen is supplied with one royal blue ink cartridge, so you can start writing straight away. Please note that you should use compatible STABILO cartridges for replacement.
