When do you need a GN 1/6 container?
GN containers are standard professional containers for the hospitality and large-scale catering sectors, where GN stands for Gastronorm - a European standard for kitchen equipment. You need this size when you want to store, serve or keep warm smaller portions in professional kitchens, buffets or for catering.

Why choose the GN 1/6 size?
The GN 1/6 size, with dimensions of 176×162×100 mm, is ideal for portioning small quantities of ingredients, sauces or garnishes. With a capacity of 1.6 litres, this container offers just the right volume for side dishes, dressings or small portions without wasting space in your refrigerator or bain-marie.

Stainless steel with a polished finish
This container is made from chrome-nickel stainless steel with an electrolytically polished surface that has a satin-matt appearance. This material is not only durable and hygienic, but also resistant to the intensive cleaning required in professional kitchens. The stainless steel does not react with acids from food and retains its neutral taste.

Practical in use and maintenance
The container is fully dishwasher-safe, which is essential for quick turnover in busy kitchens. Thanks to its stackable design, you can store several containers efficiently and save valuable space in refrigerators or storage cupboards. The GN 1/6 size fits perfectly in standard gastronorm racks and hot-holding equipment.
