What does a GN lid do in the professional kitchen?
A Gastronorm lid keeps your dishes fresh and at the right temperature during storage, transport and presentation. You need this type of lid when you want to store food hygienically in your kitchen or buffet, or when you need to cover bains-marie and chafing dishes.

Why choose the GN 1/9 size?
This compact 175 × 108 mm size is ideal for small portions, sauces, dressings or garnishes. The GN 1/9 lid fits precisely on tubs of the same size and takes up little space in your refrigeration or hot-holding equipment.

Stainless steel without a spoon slot
This lid is made of stainless steel and deliberately has no spoon slot. This gives you a fully closed lid that offers optimal protection against drying out and contamination. The smooth surface is also easier to clean than variants with cut-outs.

Practical use in your kitchen
The lid is dishwasher-safe, which makes daily maintenance simple in busy kitchens. You can use the lid on all standard GN 1/9 tubs and containers, regardless of brand. When purchasing, do make sure your tubs are exactly the GN 1/9 size, as only then will you get a perfect seal.
