When do you need a watercolour pad?
A watercolour pad is specially developed for all wet painting techniques such as watercolour, gouache and ink. You need this type of paper when you work with water, because ordinary drawing paper does not absorb the paint well and can start to buckle. The thick 300 g/m² paper ensures your work stays flat, even when there is a lot of moisture.

Why A3 format offers the ideal working space
The A3 format gives you enough room to create landscapes, portraits or other detailed watercolours without feeling restricted. This format is large enough for serious work, yet still manageable enough to use comfortably at a desk or easel. With 12 sheets, you have enough paper for a complete series or to experiment with different techniques.

Fine surface texture for precise control
This Montval watercolour pad has a fine surface that gives you optimal control over the paint. The smooth texture ensures colours blend and mix beautifully, while still giving you enough grip for details and shadow work. The 300 g/m² paper weight prevents the paper from curling or tearing during intensive use.

Practical spiral binding with perforation
The spiral binding keeps all the sheets neatly together and lets you easily turn over to a new sheet. Thanks to the micro-perforation, you can cleanly tear your finished artwork from the pad without ragged edges. This makes the pad ideal for artists who want to frame their work or develop it further.
