What does this sketch pad do?
This Mi-Teintes sketch pad from Canson has been specially developed for working with pastels and chalk. The paper has a weight of 160 g/m² and, thanks to its sturdiness, offers the ideal surface for these dry techniques. The pad is glued along the short side, so you can easily use it sheet by sheet.

Why choose this colour combination?
The pad contains 20 sheets divided across 4 mottled grey shades: smoke grey, red-grey mottled, grey mottled and blue-grey. With 5 sheets per colour, you get a subtle colour palette that perfectly complements pastel techniques. These grey shades form a neutral base that allows the colours of your pastels and chalk to shine beautifully.

Dual texture options
Each sheet has two different surfaces that give you different effects. One side has a honeycomb structure for more grip and texture, while the other side has a finer grain for detailed work. This dual texture gives you creative flexibility within a single sheet of paper.

Practical tip for use
Thanks to the special textures and the weight of 160 g/m², this paper holds pastel pigment well without tearing. Start with the fine side for details and switch to the honeycomb structure for broader areas and texture effects. The glued binding keeps the pad stable while you draw.
