With these CARAN D'ACHE SWISSCOLOR coloured pencils, you put colour on paper and then simply carry on working with water for lovely blending effects. The 30 vibrant shades are always neatly organised.
When do you choose this product?
What are water-soluble coloured pencils and when do you use them?
Water-soluble coloured pencils combine the convenience of regular coloured pencils with the option of working with water for fluid effects. You can first draw and colour as normal, then go over the colours with a wet brush to create blends and mixing effects. This makes them ideal for artists, designers and hobbyists who want versatility in a single drawing medium.
Why a set of 30 colours?
With 30 different colours, you have an extensive colour palette at your disposal, from basic shades to subtle tones such as malachite green, Van Dyck brown and salmon pink. The hexagonal shape prevents the pencils from rolling off your worktable while you draw.
Soft and break-resistant 2.8 mm core
These coloured pencils have a soft core that releases pigment easily and produces intense, vibrant colours. The 2.8 mm core diameter offers a good balance between fine details and colouring larger areas. Thanks to its break-resistant properties, you can apply more pressure without the core breaking, which is especially useful for intensive use.
Made from cedar wood for optimal use
The cedar wood ensures smooth sharpening and a comfortable grip while drawing. The water-soluble property means you can activate the colours with water for different effects, but they also work perfectly as regular coloured pencils when used dry.
